Special Features: We are a community minded group that enjoys helping others and doing what we can for our small town. Our collection is mostly from former school classmates that grew up in our community and/or live in Alfalfa County. Proceeds help support our all school reunion that happens every 5 years.

Description: A Collection of Recipes by Jet Industrious Oklahoma Home and Community Education. A great variety of recipes--some so quick and easy; others, a little more time consuming but worth it! Some recipes are family favorites--others just favorites.

Funds raised support: Maintenance of our local Wood Park and Thrall Cemetery, Easter Egg hunt, 4-H Achievements, blood drives, school scholarships, donations to civic organizations. We have refinished our tennis court and working on cleaning, painting our community building in town.

Favorite Recipe

Potato Soup

  • 1 (30 oz.) bag of frozen diced hash brown potatoes
  • 1 (32 oz.) box chicken broth
  • 1 (10 oz.) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, not fat free
  • 1 (3 oz.) real bacon bits
  • Salt and pepper

Put the potatoes in crockpot. Add in chicken broth, cream of chicken soup and half of the bacon bits. Add a pinch of salt and pepper. cut the cream cheese into small cubes. Place the cubes in the crock pot. Cook on low for 8 hours. Mix a few times throughout the hour before serving. Top with additional bacon bits.
