Chocolate Pound Cake

  • 3 c sugar
  • 2 sticks butter, softened
  • 3/4 c shortening
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 c all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 c cocoa
  • 1 c milk
     
 
In mixing bowl, cream sugar, butter and shortening. Add eggs one at a time mixing well between each. Sift flour, salt, baking powder and cocoa. Add to sugar mixture along with milk. Pour into well greased and floured tube pan and bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 15-30 minutes.
